Kylie Minogue’s ‘Padam Padam’ Lands Diva Her First GRAMMY Nomination in Nearly 15 Years

‘Padam Padam’ appears to be the hit that keeps on giving.

As if watching the tune dominate global charts and garner critical acclaim in ways she’s not experienced (arguably) since the 2001’s top-selling ‘Fever‘ wasn’t enough, Kylie Minogue also watched its parent project – ‘Tension‘ – open in America to her biggest numbers in nearly 20 years.

Now, the Aussie Pop royal may be set to get the cherry on top as ‘Padam’ has been nominated for a GRAMMY!

Moments ago, the Recording Academy took to press to announce ‘Padam’ was among the finalists for the Best Pop Dance Recording.

She’s set to battle Bebe Rexha and David Guetta‘s ‘One in a Million,’ Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding‘s ‘Miracle,’ David Guetta, Anne-Marie, and Coi Leray‘s ‘Baby Don’t Hurt Me,’ and Troye Sivan‘s ‘Rush‘ for the trophy.

The nod comes as the first Recording Academy recognition Minogue’s seen since 2009 when she competed in the Best Electronic/Dance Album category for her album ‘X‘ (which she lost to Daft Punk).

If she wins it will be the second triumph of her nearly 40-year music career following a victory at the 46th annual GRAMMYs for the ‘Fever’ single ‘Come into My World.’
